A goldfish known as ‘Tish’ was declared ‘The oldest goldfish captive’ by Guinness book of Records, 44 years after being adopted by family who won it at a festival fair. The fish died later on the next year – found laying peacefully on the bottom of his fishbowl after being ill for a short while. He was buried at it’s owner’s back yard.
Gold fish can reach up to the age of 30 (if not more). Hey – if you take good care of your fish, It is going to be at your side for at least 10-20 years. Dont forget to put a leash on that thing.
